Dining at The Roxburghe
"The food at the Roxburghe was top notch and the wine list is extensive, they even have a small supply from the Duke's own cellar if you have a special celebration" - TripAdvisor
Using homegrown produce of game from the Estate, salmon, wild mushrooms and freshly picked herbs from the garden, the Roxburghe's Head Chef, Alasdair Stewart is particular to ensure everything produced in his kitchen is fresh and home made.
All dishes are freshly prepared by Alasdair and his team. Let them know about any allergies and dietary requirements and they will be happy to offer alternatives.
To complement this standard of food is a fine choice of wines including the Duke's selection from his own private cellar and an extensive whisky selection for the after dinner "dram".

Dining Room
The stylish claret and green Dining Room has won many awards over the years under the direction of Head Chef Alasdair Stewart.
The large sash windows overlook the front lawn of the hotel, including the croquet pitch, ideal for after dinner croquet in the summer.
In the winter, the log fire makes for a cosy atmosphere with the restaurant seating a maximum of 45 guests.
Do Lunch "At The Library "
Lunches are enjoyed in the relaxing atmosphere of the Library with the menu's emphasis on "fresh" and "light" dishes.
Chef Alasdair Stewart, has created a versatile menu designed so you can choose to have two or three courses and coffee.
Options available afterwards are to walk off lunch by exploring one of the woodland walks, or laze by the Drawing Room fire with coffee.
It is worth noting that on Sundays Alasdair does his "Traditional Roast" with local produce and all the trimmings. Substantial and simply delicious, this definitely demands afternoon lounging in the Drawing Room!
Private Dining -
The Roxburghe Room
Seating up to 16 guests, The Roxburghe Room provides a unique dining experience in a private room with a log fire and large sash windows overlooking the gardens.
Upon request breakfast, lunch or dinner may also be served in this room.
