The Sporting Estate - Fishing
Welcome to one of the finest fishing hotels in Scotland. The Roxburghe hotel enjoys 4 fishing beats on The Roxburghe Estates, 2 on the River Tweed and 2 on the River Teviot, each allowing 4 rods per beat.
Upper and Lower Floors on the River Tweed offer some of the best fishing in Scotland. Both beats are situated near Floors Castle.
Sunlaws Beat on the River Teviot offers good fishing for sea trout, conveniently situated beside The Roxburghe Golf Course, just a short walk from the hotel.
Trout Fishing
Located close to The Roxburghe Hotel, our trout fishery is stocked with rainbow trout ranging from 1 lb to 5 lb. All fishing is from the bank with a catch and release policy.
One of our expert ghillies can be provided to give instruction by prior arrangement. There is a maximum of four rods at any one time.
Fly Fishing Tuition
Eoin Fairgrieve is a qualified fly casting instructor, a member of the Advanced Assoc.of Game Angling Instructors, with 17 years of experience. As well as being a great instructor, Eoin's enthusiasm for fishing will be sure to rub off on you!
