Kimmerston Horse Riding Centre

Kimmerston, one of the best known horse riding centres and stables in the North East of England, near the Cheviot Hills and Holy Island in beautiful Northumberland, you can experience exhilarating horse riding you will never forget.

From meandering along the banks of the nearby River Till to galloping in the heather on the Cheviot Hills and cantering along the clean, white beaches of Holy Island they have a full range of rides and instruction to excite those of all skill levels.

A British Horse Society approved riding centre, Kimmerston stables are situated by Wooler and Milfield at the foot of the Cheviot Hills, Northumberland near the Scottish Borders.

Nenthorn Equestrian Centre

15 minute drive from The Roxburghe

This is a highly regarded family run Equestrian Centre owned by proprietor Alison Alan.

Both basic flat work and hacking are the two disciplines they specialise in for lessons, from beginners to advanced riders.

They have two qualified instructors with the Association of British Riding School and have horses especially trained from stage 1 to 4 according to the British Horse Society.

Horses are ridden at the equestrian centre and on the surrounding estates.
